Author Guidelines

A. MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINE

Manuscript format

Manuscript should be written in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx, .rtf) format using single space and Times New Roman font size 12, with top-­-bottom-­-left-­-right margin all 2.5 cm. All picture and tables are placed in the article closest to the paragraph and are given clear label. Manuscript should consist of title, authors, author’s affiliation or institution and address (contact author with asteric mark and email), abstract, key word, introduction, experimental section (material and procedure), result and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, and references.

 

Abstract

Abstract is written maximum in 250 words and consists of aims, methods, and result of the research. With abstract includes 5-7 key words.


Writting the bibliography or list of references

If yoo keen using bibliography management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, and Endnote, the reference style can be downloaded from

References

References are written in order of number from number [1], [2], [3], etc. started from the begining of paper introduction. The format is written following ACS (American Chemical Society).

Journal article

Author names, Journal abbreviation (italic), year (in bold), Volume (Number), Page.

Example:

Li Wan, Navid Dastbaravardeh, Gang Li, and Jin-Quan Yu, J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2013, 135 (48), 18056-18059.

Journal abbreviation according to web of sciences

 

Book

Authors, Book title, Edition, Year (in bold), edition/volume, Publisher, City of publisher, Page.

Example:

Warren, S. and Paul Wyatt, Organic Synthesis: The Disconnection Approach, 2nd edition, 2008, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., New York.

 

Chapter in Book

Chapter's Authors, Title chapter, in Book title, Year (in bold), Edition/Volume, Publisher, City of publisher, Page

Example:

Korbekandi, H. and Siavash Iravani, Silver Nanoparticles, in The Delivery of Nanoparticles, 2012, 1st edition, InTech, Croatia, 3-36.

 

Internet sources

Author/editor, Title article, Website address / URL, Date and year accessed.

Example:

Masruri, Quinazoline alkaloid from Indonesia angsret (Spathodea campanulata Beauv) stembark as a growth inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus. http://masrurichemistry.lecture.ub.ac.id/2013/10/quinazoline-alkaloid-from-indonesian-angsret-spathodea-campanulata-beauv-stembark-as-a-growth-inhibitor-of-staphylococcus-aureus/ Accessed date 12 December 2013.

 

Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement can be person/institution who has contribution of the article or funding institution.

D. PUBLICATION FEE

The Journal of Pure and Applied Chemistry Research is a non-profit publishing institution which mostly supported by the University of Brawijaya (www.ub.ac.id) and under guidance from DP2M DIKTI Subdit HKI dan Publikasi. The journal apply publication fee in small amount upon article accepted for publication. The fee will go for journal development and management.

  • Local author : IDR 1.500.000,- (local student can apply for reduction)
  • International author : USD 100 (Author from developing country can request a waiving publication fee)

This fee scheme is applied for edition January 2018 onward.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The submitted paper is original material, i.e., material that has neither been published elsewhere, nor is under review elsewhere. Manuscripts that are found to have been plagiarized from a manuscript by other authors, whether published or unpublished, will incur plagiarism sanctions.
  • By submitting the paper, names of author who written in the manuscript agree and declare that there is no conflict of interest.
